may the blue, red and white shine with Obama.

    YES WE CAN.
    -senator barack obama
    (elected President of America)

I want to congratulate Senator Clinton on a hard-fought victory here in New Hampshire.

A few weeks ago, no one imagined that we'd have accomplished what we did here tonight. For most of this campaign, we were far behind, andwe always knew our climb would be steep.
But in record numbers, you came out and spoke up for change. And with your voices and your votes, you made it clear that at this moment - inthis election - there is something happening in America.

There is something happening when men and women in Des Moines and Davenport; in Lebanon and Concord come out in the snows of January to wait in lines that stretch block after block because they believe in what this country can be.

There is something happening when Americans who are young in age and in spirit - who have never before participated in politics - turn out in numbers we've never seen because they know in their hearts that this time must be different.

There is something happening when people vote not just for the party they belong to but the hopes they hold in common - that whether we are rich or poor; black or white; Latino or Asian; whether we hail from Iowa or New Hampshire, Nevada or South Carolina, we are ready to take this country in a fundamentally new direction. That is what's happening in America right now. Change is what's happening in America.

You can be the new majority who can lead this nation out of a long political darkness - Democrats, Independents and Republicans who are tired of the division and distraction that has clouded Washington; who know that we can disagree without being disagreeable; who understand that if we mobilize our voices to challenge the money and influence that's stood in our way and challenge ourselves to reach for something better, there's no problem we can't solve - no destiny we cannot fulfill.

Our new American majority can end the outrage of unaffordable, unavailable health care in our time. We can bring doctors and patients; workers and businesses, Democrats and Republicans together;and we can tell the drug and insurance industry that while they'll get a seat at the table, they don't get to buy every chair. Not this time. Not now.

Our new majority can end the tax breaks for corporations that ship our jobs overseas and put a middle-class tax cut into the pockets of the working Americans who deserve it.

We can stop sending our children to schools with corridors of shame and start putting them on a pathway to success. We can stop talking about how great teachers are and start rewarding them for their greatness. We can do this with our new majority.

We can harness the ingenuity of farmers and scientists; citizens and entrepreneurs to free this nation from the tyranny of oil and save our planet from a point of no return.

And when I am President, we will end this war in Iraq and bring our troops home; we will finish the job against al Qaeda in Afghanistan;we will care for our veterans; we will restore our moral standing in the world; and we will never use 9/11 as a way to scare up votes, because it is not a tactic to win an election, it is a challenge that should unite America and the world against the common threats of the twenty-first century: terrorism and nuclear weapons; climate changeand poverty; genocide and disease.

All of the candidates in this race share these goals. All have good ideas. And all are patriots who serve this country honorably.

But the reason our campaign has always been different is because it's not just about what I will do as President, it's also about what you, the people who love this country, can do to change it.
That's why tonight belongs to you. It belongs to the organizers and the volunteers and the staff who believed in our improbable journey and rallied so many others to join.

We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can withstand the power of millions of voices calling for change.
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics who will only grow louder and more dissonant in the weeks to come. We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.

But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope. For when we have faced down impossible odds; when we've been told that we're not ready, or that we shouldn't try, or that we can't, generations of Americans have responded with a simple creed that sums up the spirit of a people.

    Yes we can.

It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation.

    Yes we can.

It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom through the darkest of nights.

    Yes we can.

It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.

    Yes we can.

It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballot; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountain top and pointed the way to the Promised Land.

Yes we can to justice and equality. Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity. Yes we can heal
this nation. Yes we can repair this world. Yes we can.

And so tomorrow, as we take this campaign South and West; as we learn that the struggles of the textile worker in Spartanburg are not so different than the plight of the dishwasher in Las Vegas; that the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that weare not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people;we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in America's story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea - Yes. We. Can.

    Monday, August 11, 2008

hello hello, i have sudden urge to blog...
must be because for such a rare 'long' break from school,
i have nowhere to go but stuck at home doing chemistry ):

anyways, i may be late, but let's treat this as 9th August:

HAPPY 43RD BIRTHDAY, MY LOVELY SINGAPORE!

i enjoyed what jjc had put up this year: Don't Forget The Lyrics!
    it was so fun!
not to mention this year they gave out these:

    it's choc cupcake and it's yummy :D

okay, i wanna post up old photos hahah!

    DIVING @ MALAYSIA

on the bus to port :D

    this is the place!

it's pretty gorgeous in the photo...

but you're there, it's not really that nice..

you can probably tell my camera's resolution sucks.
i don't know why but during that trip my camera's resolution was horrid!

    the diving process (:
it's really cool, but so tiring!
    imagine carrying some 20kg tank!
and JUMP into the water! omg that feeling was THRILLING & SCARY!

let me introduce Sebastian, one of NP dippit-donut owner, and ky's 'lover' HAHAHA!

since cris, ky and pris couldn't join us in this trip,
    huiyi and i wrote this!

and requested someone to help us with a picture...
oh and you know what happened next?
we realise we were getting TONS of sand bug's bites ALL OVER US!
    hui's one was freakish!
and i got them all over my legs, and it's SUPER VISIBLE NOW!
cos they turned into 5-cent coins all over my legs!
    damn those bug bites!
    they were SUCKING our blood!

this was a last day picture, when all the guys were so high,
they all jumped into the seas from the deck /=
    but it was so cool,
    AND THEY GOT ADDICTED,
started jumping, got out, jumped in again, got out, jumped in!

this is my diving group's girls!

instructor pu wen and instructor jeremy!
pu wen took me on the last dive,
and jeremy was like a guardian to all divers throughout the dives,
cos he was always floating at the top helping those in trouble..
    explains his sun-burnt head HAHAHAHA!

    now that's a family of 2007 divers (:
the joy (and not-so-joyful) of diving!

it was a damn nice trip, so if anyone out there wishes an opportunity to dive should seek ngee-ann dive club. they're real nice, and very open!
the fact that they allow me, a jjc student to join in their trip is a living example!
don't be afraid to try new stuffs (:

did i mention ive been to np so much,
i crashed their freshmen 2008 party?

managed to sift choochi out from the crowd haha!

i forgot when, but once truddy got tix (super ALOT) to go watch semi-finale of The One of channel U, or something like that. i can't rmb.. /=
but we girls went out shopping and omg bought 2-buck shoes HAHAHA!
it is damn joker, but oh well, 2 bucks = for fun!

    this is the funny shoe!
and there was this auntie at mediacorp who loved it so much she offered to buy from us!
    but we... didnt sell it!

    yami yogurt :D

we love yami yogurt ! <3

    at mediacorp !
lol we went to call cris and told her we were auditioning for some new show!
and she was like so happy and enthu!
and she told us GOOD LUCK, JIAYOU!
unless she read this entry of mine,
she's now still thinking we went for an audition back then!
:D cris! huiyi didnt get into the second rounds la!

    before it starts!

ky, me, trud , omg where's hui ):

OMG look who we got to take photo with HAHAHA!
    i went up and asked,
CHENG XI, CAN WE TAKE PHOTO WITH YOU??? (in chinese)
and he replied, "Yes, come come!"
hahahaha, i think ky was like in a shock hahahaha!

oh and who can forget the period whereby i lost my beloved J3 ): ): ):
the trip to hometown & KL:

    Trip to Water Chalets...

Welcome To The Legend Water Chalets!

Everyone crowding at the lobby area!

    ROCKY & LOLLER !
whatever happened to POCKY and COLLON...

    Chalet's interior!
    It's damn gorgeous!

    my crazy brother -.-
i slept on this bed right next to the window, whee :D

this glass patch shows the tide below where our chalet stood upon (:
    we were so intrigued!

    someone caught a crab!

cousin wen ting went to look...

    now she's scared... /=

    damn strong wind!

    our newest cousin!
    Chiang Wai Yee (:
wow, now i have another cambodian-mixed cousin!
and she's gorgeous; those super sharp nose & double eye-lids!

    some 'tattoo'...

    gryffindor betrayers!

and one of the hippiest thing:
    BUSINESS DINNER @ SENTOSA ONEdegree15 CLUB;
the company held a dinner @ The Imperial Treasure,
and i think it was like a 8-course meal?
    i cant recall,
but the bill total up to S$8k?
cos tons of people ordered drinks which is 5 bucks per stupid glass,
and it can even be pepsi/coke /=
    what a rip-off.
oh, i was so occupied in eating, i left my camera cold on the table haha!

    it was cool la,
cos i saw the familiar faces, and the people's kids...
so it was like a match-the-kids-to-their-parents day,
cos i nvr really knew which uncle/auntie these kids belong to LOL!
and i LOVE mackenzie, he's uber uber cute omg!
and joshua was so cute, followed by their youngest baby bro ricardo!
    i should snapped their pics,
    oh well...

one pathetic photo of something heavenly!

    they will karoake-ing...

omg my dad's damn cute HAHAH!
he's usually super shy but he allowed us to take his pic that night!
and as usual he was so shy about singing!
so by the time when there's only 4 people left in the room,
he then picked up the mic to sing LOL!

    my sis & i...
as usual i was crazy /=

obviously onedegree15's a great place to snapshot,
    and obviously,
    i was plain lazy...

good luck, super tons of good luck to those taking a-lvl prelims!
kaiying, cris, clement, kanta, xianliang, and sorry if my memory fail to jot your name down!
    jiayou!
    and 07S06 :D
    strive hard!
and i shall go crash my bed,
    toodles!!!!

    Saturday, July 12, 2008

    i loathe miley cyrus,
    becos her voice is disastrous!
    and she still sings!
    omg, can die!
    but i love this song,
    becos it's so true:

    miley cyrus,
    seven things.

    I probably shouldn't say this,
But at times I get so scared.
When I think about the previous,
    Relationship we shared.

It was awesome but we lost it,
It's not possible for me, not to care.
And now we're standing in the rain,
But nothing's ever gonna change until you hear, my dear.

The 7 things I hate about you.
The 7 things I hate about you, oh you.
You're vain, your games, you're insecure,
You love me, you like her.
You make me laugh, you make me cry,
I don't know which side to buy.
    Your friends, they're jerks,
When you act like them, just know it hurts.
I wanna be with the one I know.
And the 7th thing I hate the most that you do,
    You make me love you.

    It's awkward and it's silent,
As I wait for you to say
What I need to hear now,
    Your sincere apology.
When you mean it, I'll believe it,
If you text it, I'll delete it.
    Let's be clear,
    Oh I'm not coming back.
    You're taking 7 steps here.

The 7 things I hate about you.

And compared to all the great things
That would take too long to write.
    I probably should mention
    The 7 that I like.

The 7 things I like about you.
Your hair, your eyes, your old Levi's,
    When we kiss I'm hypnotized,
You make me laugh, you make me cry,
But I guess that's both I'll have to buy.
    Your hands in mine,
    When we're intertwined, everything's alright.
I wanna be with the one I know
And the 7th thing I like most that you do,
    You make me love you.
    You do.

    hey there (:

okay ive been away, and ive been... busy?

the week before holidays said 'hello', i was scuba diving.

afterwhich came the American Idol 7 finale, which was so amazing it got into my head.

then i was totally too engrossed in getting my gossip girl episodes ready for my entertainment.

    and also Degrassi!

    not missing out Desperate Housewives!

then i went on a trip back to Malaysia, first KL, then Perak.

then before I can get my butt back in Singapore Island, someone whacked my mum's car window and stole my stuffs.

    JUST MY STUFFS.
so now i have lost my phone, my HOMEWORK, MATH LECTURE BOOKS, DIARY!, and last but not least, my faithful J3 that had stuck with me for 3 years and would have been still counting if not for the stupid idiotic NERD ROBBERS.

    oh yes, my laptop, too.
    just my luck?

but it isn't so bad, because my stuffs are never shiny-and-brand-new, so i hope they get LITTLE money out of them.

well, now why ive been busy, is also because of youtube.
    blame them:
    :D

    Ryan Higa and the Yabbo.

    KevJumba

they're interesting, at times funny, and they're asians.
hahah, i mean it's really cool, people should check out their videos.
and they're off our age or so :D

now you know why i'm busy. [:

american idol season seven is soooo good,
but their elimnation choices sucks so bad!
i'm so sorry, but i think Castro should go, he's underperforming /=
david arch has superb voice, but he's underperforming too!
he kept singing the same style all the time ):

    i love michael johns (:

    and he's an australian, omg!

    and david cook's awesome!

this season would be awesome if Johns could battle it out with Cook.

    Oh well..

    omg /=
    the rest are truddy's pictures!
    we're all either cooking,
praying for no raindrops befalling upon us,
    eating, BURNING LEG HAIRS,
    playing with the melted cheesecake,
carrying bags to and fro the bbq pit and shelter thanks to rain,
    and urm, yea..

we decided doing the "SURPRISE" at fish&co.
    omg, very lame right!
    VERY SAD LA!
    think about it super sad!
but that day turned out to be super cool, cos huiyi's boss reserved a private room at fish&co for us!

LOL, thanks to jon who's got a car, and omg,
    it's not JUST a car, it's a mercedes! whoo :D
so here we are, gna watch STEP UP 2 THE STREETS!

i guess jon arrived to help us take a pic?

and we dragged him in to join us!

i love ROBERT HOFFMAN and his ROBO-DANCE heh :D
and water dancing is so so so cool!
maybe it'll be even better if we didnt get front rows!
and since there's CAR RIDES HOME, we decided to go out longer till midnight to countdown for huihui!

    went mt faber! HAHAH!
    dunno where else to go!
and jon kept playing with car brakes and steering anyhow!

    the back seats!

oh, and there were times when ongoing drivers outside looked in
    and got a SHOCK!
cos in a mercedes was a guy driving FIVE girls,
and driver plus passengers alike both look really young!
    hahahah! so classic!

and next we went to SENTOSA, FREE ENTRY!
we bluffed the guard that we're gna visit a friend that lives
at Sentosa Cove, and he looked at the car we're driving,

    ahh, we're mad la..

i got home really late that day..
but if im not wrong, before hui's bday,
    i had already visited sentosa
i went to sentosa with welson!
    our main aim : SUNTAN!
so 'nice' that by the time we got to the beach,
the SCORCHING SUN went away, replaced by THUNDERS.
so very nice to keep us cooled -.-!

gahh, we gave up and went to take pictures instead,
cos welson dont wanna watch STEP UP 2,
and yea, i then FOUND OUT my dear friend
welson chua wei sheng went to watch STEP UP 2 RECENTLY!
but cannot blame, that person's the only one that can make him say "YES!"

    pictures will talk (:

    HELLO!
i had no idea what-the-hell picture welson was taking anyway -.-
but apparently, he was proud of his phototaking skills..!
